I’m very please to share this congratulatory message from WordPress – fresh from yesterday.
Can I offer a great big
to everyone who has chosen to follow my random ramblings over the past ten months. It’s been a hugely enjoyable and education journey and I hope you’ve been able to glean at least one interesting or useful fact from my pages.
No laurels will be rested upon – the learning curve continues ever upwards!
In the meantime, Write On, everyone!

Thank you, but the thanks really go out to those who have chosen to follow me.
Does that sound a little Messianic? 🙂

Congratulations! That’s quite the achievement. I look forward to maybe someday celebrating that milestone myself. But until then, I can live vicariously through you. 😉

On a similar note, I sent out an email yesterday that contained the word ‘obfuscate’ (yeah, I do that sometimes for fun).
Next day my phone rings and the recipient asks; ‘Are you that writer, that Andrew?’ My author’s name wasn’t anywhere on the email, btw.
Turns out I’d given her co-worker one of my bookmarks two days before. 😀 Small world.
Now she’s bought my book! 🙂

Wow! That’s an awesome story. Do you think she figured it out from “obfuscate?” I suppose we writers do tend to give ourselves away by using large words for the heck of it. Regardless, how cool! Seems like those bookmarks are an excellent marketing strategy. I’ll have to remember that when I finally reach that point. 🙂

The book marks are a superb icebreaker – plus my confidence in speaking to people has ramped up as a result. 🙂
Win-win!

Thanks for stopping by – and for your kind words. Hopefully I can provide some useful content as I navigate my way through the simile-infested waters of self-publishing! 😀

Thank you…and thanks for letting me know that you’re following. 😀
I’ve heard of Bloglovin, but haven’t used it myself. *note to self* must investigate…
I think I may have a couple of dozen followers that WordPress doesn’t recognise…unfortunately that sort of moveable feast is difficult to track. 😦
I wonder if Bloglovin would let me know…

Yes Bloglovin shows how many followers you have. Depending on whether or not the follower has set it to private following, you will be able to see who your follower is.

And the best part is…everyone I follow has something educational, poignant or funny to say. It’s learn, learn (laugh) and learn! I can only hope that my efforts inspire (or amuse) in a similar way.
